At Atletico Santa Rosa, we believe that soccer is more than just a game—it’s a powerful tool to foster community, build connections, and inspire growth. This December, we are proud to highlight our involvement in supporting youth at the Sonoma County Juvenile Hall Clubhouse, where our team has brought the joy of soccer to life.
November was an incredible month for the Clubhouse, filled with enriching activities like science programs, cultural celebrations, and moments of reflection. Adding to this dynamic programming, Atletico Santa Rosa’s highly qualified coaches, Jorge “Tote” Castaneda Reyes and his son Jurgen Castaneda Madrigal, delivered an unforgettable Soccer Skills Coaching experience.
A Legacy of Excellence
Jorge “Tote” Castaneda Reyes, former captain of Mexico’s Olympic Soccer Team at the 1992 Barcelona Games, and Jurgen Castaneda Madrigal, a professional soccer player and coach in Finland, brought their expertise and passion to every session. Their coaching was tailored to the skill level of each participant, ensuring everyone felt engaged and empowered.
More Than Soccer
This initiative wasn’t just about teaching soccer skills; it was about creating connections, fostering confidence, and inspiring the youth to dream bigger. Through teamwork and mentorship, the program showed how sports can serve as a bridge to personal and community growth.
We’re honored to be part of this incredible collaboration and look forward to continuing our efforts to make a positive impact in the local community.
