Carlos Hernández is entering his eighth year with Atlético Santa Rosa. He currently serves as the Boys’ Head Varsity Coach at Elsie Allen High School (since 2021) and has been the Men’s Assistant Coach at Santa Rosa Junior College since 2015. He holds the USSF National C License, underscoring his commitment to coaching excellence.
Hernández’s soccer career is marked by notable achievements, including playing for Sonoma County Sol (NPSL), competing in NCAA Division 2 for the Academy of Art University, and playing semi-professionally in Mexico for Cuatitlan Izcali and Guerreros Acapulco. His talent was also recognized at Santa Rosa Junior College, where he received All-American Honors.
Hernández holds a bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Communications from the Academy of Art University and a master’s degree in Kinesiology from Humboldt State University. As a coach, Hernández is dedicated to supporting and inspiring young athletes to achieve their goals through commitment, hard work, and discipline. He challenges his players to reach their full potential both on and off the field, driven by a desire to give back the guidance he received from his own coaches.
