Atlético Santa Rosa 2011 and 2012 Teams Compete at Surf Cup 2026

Atlético Santa Rosa was proudly represented by two boys’ teams at Surf Cup 2026 in Del Mar, California, as the club’s 2011 and 2012 squads tested themselves against strong competition from across the country.

The Atlético Santa Rosa MLS NEXT White 2011 – De la Torre team competed in the Boys U16 Black Division during the older age-group tournament, while Atlético Santa Rosa 2012 São Paulo participated in the highly competitive Boys U15 Best of the Best Division during the younger tournament.

Both teams completed group play with one victory, one draw, and one defeat, gaining valuable experience against clubs representing California, Hawaii, Washington, and other competitive soccer markets.

2011 MLS NEXT White Earns Four Points

Coached by David de la Torre, Atlético Santa Rosa MLS NEXT White 2011 opened its Surf Cup campaign with a 1–1 draw against ALBION SC Hawaii B10/11.

The team followed that performance with a strong 2–0 victory over Albion SC Los Angeles BU16 EA, recording a clean sheet and remaining undefeated through its opening two matches.

Atlético concluded group play against Flyte SC EA. Despite scoring once, the team fell 3–1 and finished the tournament with four points from three matches.

2012 São Paulo Competes in Best of the Best

Atlético Santa Rosa 2012 São Paulo competed in the Boys U15 Best of the Best Division, placing the team among one of Surf Cup’s highest competitive flights.

The squad began the tournament with a 1–1 draw against host club SD Surf ECNL Boys U15. Atlético then faced Los Angeles Bulls SC MLS NEXT HD U15 in its second match.

The team responded in its final group match with a 2–0 victory over PacNW SC ECNL B2011/12, finishing its Surf Cup campaign with a clean sheet and three important points.
